Engaging study sessions for the student
Rabbi Heather engages the student in discovering her own interests, challenges, needs and questions about God and Judaism. She meets the student where he is, and guides him deeper into the wisdom, beauty and relevance of Torah, mitzvot and Jewish living. Sessions may focus on: exploring what it means to become Bat/Bar Mitzvah, Torah as a source of wisdom and personal guidance, Jewish meditation, Rav Yoga, My Music/My Message, Soap Opera Torah, finding your own prayer, and more.

Parent/child Torah and ritual exploration
Parent and child meetings allow you connect with the spiritual meaning and family significance of this milestone. Move beyond the minutia of party planning, guest lists, and social action projects to learn together, about yourself and about each other. Rabbi Heather will direct parent and child to outside readings and resources, as well as assist you in aligning the preparation for the event with your intent to grow your home life with self-selected rituals and Judaica.

Becoming Me: Parent/child Rav Yoga
Stand, sit, and stretch with your young adult child as you pass on the value of self-love, gratitude for health, and embracing the ever-changing human body. Rabbi Heather can lead you in these Rav Yoga sessions that won’t embarrass your soon-to-be-teenager, and that will leave everyone feeling strong, accomplished and even more connected to Jewish roots and breath.

Rav Yoga parties for friends and cousins
Rav Yoga parties are a fun and unique way to celebrate becoming Bat/Bar Mitzvah, and they help everyone relax and release stress. Host a Rav Yoga party with your peers on the day/week before or after your Bat/Bar Mitzvah date. Whether for your child’s peers or your own, this party will increase clarity about the inner meaning of the moment and help you to be fully present to the joy of the celebration.
