It is an honor for me to guide you and your family through the Jewish rituals of grief and comfort. I take my role quite seriously and intend to assist you in preparing to say goodbye to your loved one with the support, wisdom and strength of Jewish tradition. When mourners tell me that it seemed as if I knew their loved one so well, I know that I have represented their soul’s essence in the funeral service with the integrity and esteem that they deserve. I believe that everyone deserves a proper burial and that participating in this mitzvah is a sacred obligation of great respect (kavod), healing (tikkun) and love (hesed).
