As a Spiritual Director (Morah Derekh), Heather Altman engages in the art of deep listening and prayerful presence. She shares spiritual wisdom as it applies to her client's life circumstances and personal quest for meaning. Trained in the Morei Derekh program of Yedidya Center, Heather joins an internationally growing movement of Jewish Spiritual Directors who are responding to the increasing desires of many Jews to develop a personal spiritual path.
Through the individualized, contemplative experience of Spiritual Direction, Heather works with her clients to help them define their relationship to the Holy, clarify meaning and purpose in their daily life, and strengthen their connection to the divine. Heather brings her expertise in body awareness and creating effective ritual to complement this contemplative practice.
Deepening Your Spiritual Journey
Learn about the new form of Jewish Spiritual Direction, based upon the ancient experience of noticing the sacred dimension that underlies all life. In this introductory presentation, Heather will discuss the benefits and process of this spiritual practice, and allow you to experience some elements of prayerful presence.
Whether in a group or individual setting, Spiritual Direction creates a sacred sanctuary for your soul's authentic pathway.
Individuals
Attentive one-on-one hourly sessions may take place in person or over the phone. Clients typically schedule one session each month, or as needed, with an initial three month commitment.
Groups
In Spiritual Direction Groups four to six individuals meet regularly for six or more sessions. Group Spiritual Direction is a good fit for those attempting to cultivate spiritual practices and awareness, and who are willing to make a commitment to themselves and the spiritual community of this group.
