Consulting
Judaism as we know it is changing and growing. Active members of the Jewish community are demonstrating an increasing desire to participate in alternative prayer services, deepen their personal connection to God, and strengthen their understanding of Jewish prayer. As a consulting rabbi, Heather works with synagogues and organizations nationwide to develop specialized programming that promotes spiritual growth and a meaningful relationship to the divine.

During her tenure at Anshe Emet Synagogue in Chicago, Rabbi Altman created and implemented Netivot/Pathways: A Jewish Center for Growth and Healing. Using Netivot as a model, she designs community programming that explores wellness, wisdom, and healing and is targeted to the needs of individual organizations.  Synagogue 3000, Synaplex, and the Institute for Jewish Spirituality are educating Jewish professionals about the possibility of transformation; Rabbi Heather is working with their graduates and with Jews out there everywhere who seek authentic and meaningful Jewish spiritual practice.
